Cardiologist Electrophysiologist
Opportunity Highlights:
- Salary range: $320,000 - $390,000 per year
- Location: Jackson, Mississippi
- Full-Time Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm including call coverage and weekend rounding as needed (Alternate schedules may be necessary to meet the needs of the organization
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive electrophysiologic studies and evaluations of patients with cardiac arrhythmias.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care of patients undergoing electrophysiological procedures.
- Perform advanced electrophysiology procedures, including but not limited to, catheter ablation, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, and device management.
- Assess patients for suitability for various electrophysiologic therapies and make recommendations based on evidence-based guidelines.
- Evaluate and manage patients in outpatient and inpatient settings who present with complex arrhythmias and other related cardiovascular conditions.
- Interpret electrocardiograms (ECG), Holter monitors, event monitors, and other related diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with cardiac arrhythmias.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the cardiology team and other healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, fellows, and nursing staff in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac electrophysiologic disorders.
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with the latest advancements in electrophysiology through participation in professional societies, conferences, and other educational opportunities.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and committees as required by the department and facility.
- Ensure the proper documentation of patient interactions, procedures, and treatment plans in accordance with VA policies and regulations.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of clinical protocols and standards within the electrophysiology service.

Qualifications
Board certified/board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
Extensive experience and training in the diagnosis and management of cardiac arrhythmias.
Proficiency in performing advanced electrophysiology procedures.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
