Locums | Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology | Tacoma, WA (WA license or IMLC) Why This Role

  • WA license or IMLC accepted
  • Specialized pediatric cardiac anesthesia opportunity
  • Full-spectrum CVOR, Cath/EP, and cardiac imaging coverage
  • Approximately 1 cardiac surgery patient/day
  • Expedited privileges available for clean files
Assignment Details Start/end: ASAP once credentialed - ongoing Schedule: Scheduled clinical hours + beeper call; daytime hours to be confirmed Coverage type: Inpatient Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia + Call Call ratio: 1:2 Call response time: 30 minutes Volume: Approximately 1 cardiac surgery patient/day; 3-4 patients seen during call Setting: Hospital-based pediatric cardiac anesthesia Department: 22 beds Operating rooms: 8 Support: 3 RNs; no CRNA supervision required EMR: Epic Credentialing: 90-120 days; expedited/temporary privileges available Clinical Details Full-spectrum pediatric cardiac anesthesia Open-heart and CVOR anesthesia required Pediatric general anesthesia Cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab anesthesia Cardiac imaging anesthesia support Spinal anesthesia Central venous line placement Arterial line placement Neonatal anesthesia experience preferred Acute volume and blood pressure management preferred Postoperative pain management techniques preferred No obstetric anesthesia responsibilities No CRNA supervision required Requirements Board Certified in Anesthesiology Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia fellowship training required License: Active WA medical license or IMLC ABLS required ACLS required BLS required PALS required Active DEA Full-spectrum pediatric cardiac anesthesia experience CVOR and open-heart anesthesia proficiency required Cath lab-only experience not sufficient Central and arterial line placement proficiency Current case logs required Compensation Rate negotiable, open to your number Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed
