Cardiovascular Anesthesiologist Job Requirements

• Physician degree and current eligibility to practice anesthesiology
• Active Texas medical license
• Active DEA registration
• Board certification in Anesthesiology
• TEE certification
• At least 1 year of cardiovascular anesthesiology experience
• Clean professional and credentialing record suitable for temporary privileges
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient safety

Cardiovascular Anesthesiology Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care for cardiovascular procedures and surgical cases
• Perform preoperative evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia plans
• Administer and monitor anesthesia while maintaining patient stability throughout procedures
• Apply TEE expertise to support intraoperative assessment and clinical decision-making
• Collaborate with surgeons, proceduralists, nurses, and other members of the care team
• Complete postoperative evaluations and support safe transitions in care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the Meditech electronic medical record
