Brand-new equipment. A doctor-friendly facility. One of the most beautiful regions in New York.
We’re looking for a board-certified anesthesiologist for a 3–6 month locum assignment at a 99-bed facility in a small Finger Lakes town. It runs like a high-end ambulatory center with some general surgery. The ORs and equipment are top-notch, every anesthesia machine is brand new, and you’ll have a McGrath video laryngoscope on hand.
Job Responsibilities
About 4,500 cases per year: bread-and-butter cases, ortho with lots of blocks, ENT, healthy peds, general surgery, and OB with about 8 C-sections per month
5 ORs and 2 GI rooms
Patients of all ages
Paper charting
Qualifications
OB experience is required
Proficient in regional anesthesia and comfortable performing blocks independently
Comfortable with TEEs and cardioversions
Comfortable supervising CRNAs at 1:3 or 1:4
Active NY license preferred. If you’re not yet licensed in NY, reach out anyway and let’s talk.
Credentialing takes 2–4 weeks
Working Hours
5x10s preferred; 4x10s considered
All call is home call, with no in-house call. There is main and backup call, and overnight home call is required at least 2 days per week.
Start: 2–3 weeks from offer, with preference for candidates who can start sooner
Priority coverage weeks: 11/16–11/20, 11/23–11/25, 11/30–12/4, 12/21–12/24, 12/26–12/27 (weekend), 12/28–12/31
Full-time candidates are welcome, and so is partial availability outside these dates because the schedule has some flexibility.
