Full-Time | Permanent | Anesthesiology | Academic Appointment
*Position Details*
* Join a large, established academic anesthesiology department in Jacksonville, FL
* Full-time position within one of five non-cardiac anesthesiology divisions
* Academic appointment with a medical school
* Opportunity to participate in resident education and clinical research
* Strong opportunity for physicians interested in advancing academic and clinical programs
* Comprehensive adult anesthesia management for surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
* Preoperative and postoperative patient management
* Practice does not include trauma or obstetrics
* Department includes more than 50 board-certified anesthesiologists
* Six anesthesiology residents per year
* More than 100 CRNAs and a large team of anesthesia technologists
* Six specialty divisions including:
* Cardiovascular & Thoracic Anesthesiology
* Multispecialty Anesthesiology
* Non-Operating Room Anesthesiology
* Neuroanesthesiology
* Abdominal Transplant Anesthesiology
* Acute Pain & Regional Anesthesiology
*Clinical & Academic Opportunities*

* Opportunity to develop and advance academic programs
* Fellowship training is highly preferred
* Candidates with dual training in Critical Care Medicine may be considered for a joint appointment with the Critical Care Medicine department
*Candidate Qualifications*
* MD or DO
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
* Completion of a post-residency fellowship highly preferred
* Strong interest in academic medicine, resident education and clinical research
* Critical Care Medicine dual training considered on a case-by-case basis
