Main OR | Collaborative Care Team Model | Out-of-House Call
A well-established hospital in Kansas City is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiologist to join its Main Operating Room team. This opportunity offers a diverse surgical case mix, a collaborative medical direction model, and the support of a large anesthesia division consisting of more than 170 anesthesiologists, intensivists, CRNAs, AAs, residents, and advanced practice providers.
Position Highlights
* Full-time, permanent Anesthesiology opportunity
* Primarily provide coverage within the Main Operating Room
* Broad surgical and procedural case mix
* Collaborative anesthesia care team model
* Medical direction of CRNAs/AAs up to 1:4
* Physicians personally provide anesthesia on an infrequent basis
* Join a large anesthesia division with more than 170 anesthesia and critical care professionals
* Comprehensive surgical services with 24-hour robotic surgery availability
* Supportive, team-oriented clinical environment

* General Surgery

* OB/GYN

* Plastic Surgery
* GI procedures
* Out-of-OR anesthesia procedures
Call & Coverage
* Out-of-house call
* Call responsibilities shared among a team of approximately 5 anesthesiologists
* Physicians must remain within the prescribed driving distance of the hospital while on call
* In-house CRNA/AA provides OB coverage during call
* Collaborative coverage model designed to provide appropriate overnight support

Qualifications
* MD or DO
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
* Completed or currently completing an accredited ACGME Anesthesiology Residency Program or comparable training
* Current or eligible Missouri medical licensure
* Comfortable working within a collaborative anesthesia care team model
* Strong clinical and communication skills
* Experienced Anesthesiologists and graduating residents are encouraged to apply
