Locums | Anesthesiology | Belfast, ME (any state license or IMLC)

Full-time preferred; part-time considered
Independent cases with no CRNA supervision
Critical access hospital
Flexible call rotation
Assignment Details
Dates: ASAP
Assignment status: Ongoing
Schedule: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Call: Weeknight call approximately every third night; exact hours pending confirmation
Weekend call: One 24-hour weekend per month
Response time: 30 minutes
Coverage type: Scheduled clinical hours plus call
Volume: Approximately 14–16 surgical and endoscopy cases per day
Setting: Critical access hospital with three anesthesia sites operating daily
Support: Four-anesthesiologist practice with professional OR staff
Supervision: Independent cases; no CRNA supervision
EMR: Epic
Credentialing: Approximately 60–90 days
Clinical Details
Required: Adult general surgical anesthesia
Required: Obstetric anesthesia and epidurals
Required: Spinal, regional, plexus, and minor nerve blocks
Required: Acute pain management
Required: Arterial-line placement
Required: Management of acute volume and blood-pressure issues
Patient population: Ages 3 through 100+
Obstetric volume: Approximately 4–6 deliveries per month
No trauma coverage
Requirements
Board Certified in Anesthesiology
Any state license accepted (ME obtained during credentialing) or IMLC
Epic experience required
COVID-19 and influenza vaccination required
Active DEA
