Locums | Anesthesiology | Eureka, CA (active CA license required)
Why This Role
Ongoing coverage, approximately 1–2 weeks monthly
Two openings
Day shifts before transition to nights
Broad OB, pediatric, and surgical case mix
Assignment Details
January 2027 start; ongoing
Approximately 5–7 shifts per month, with night and weekend availability required
Weekday shifts vary from 8–12 hours
OB shift: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., with onsite coverage followed by beeper call
Evening shift: 3:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., with onsite coverage followed by beeper call
Weeknight and 24-hour weekend beeper call; 20–30-minute response time
Inpatient practice; Epic
Credentialing: approximately 90 days
Clinical Details
Adult and pediatric general anesthesia; trauma and OB cases
Spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia
Neurosurgical, thoracic, complex vascular, and orthopedic cases
Ventilation management, central and arterial lines, and postoperative blocks
Open-heart and neonatal anesthesia not required
Requirements
Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology
Active California license and DEA required
Willingness to cover nights and weekends
