Position Details:
Patient Population: Adults and pediatric patients
Setting: Acute care hospital; operating room, obstetrics, and endoscopy
Responsibilities: Provide independent anesthesia care for assigned OR and endoscopy cases, support obstetric anesthesia coverage, provide overnight call coverage, perform regional anesthesia and nerve blocks, including pediatric blocks, and provide backup coverage according to the assigned weekend schedule.
Required Procedures: General, plastic, orthopedic, urologic, gynecologic, endoscopic, and healthy pediatric anesthesia; OB anesthesia proficiency, epidurals, and regional anesthesia skills strongly preferred, including pediatric blocks
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: CRNAs and physician anesthesia team
Days Per Month: Second and fourth weekends each month; Friday–Sunday coverage
On-Call/Weekends: 24-hour call coverage required; overnight in-house call preferred. Full coverage for all three weekend shifts is required.
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology; Massachusetts medical license in hand
- ACLS and BLS certifications required; ABA eligibility noted in job details
- DEA required
- NPDB report within 30 days of active
