Coverage Type: Locum Tenens | Start: ASAP, likely November 2026 pending credentialing
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM | Commitment: 3 weeks per month

WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking an Anesthesiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Western Massachusetts. This position offers an independent practice environment with no supervision responsibilities, a diverse surgical case mix, and travel and lodging coverage.

Assignment Highlights

• ASAP start, with a likely November start pending credentialing

• Ongoing assignment

• Approximately 3 weeks of coverage per month

• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

• Independent practice with no supervision

• Adult and healthy pediatric patients only

• Epic EMR

• Travel and lodging covered

Case Mix & Clinical Responsibilities

• General Surgery

• Plastics

• Orthopedics

• Urology

• Gynecology

• Endoscopy

• Healthy pediatric cases

Clinical Requirements

• Must be comfortable managing approximately 16–29 endoscopy cases per day (please confirm the expected daily volume)

• Must be proficient in performing regional anesthesia blocks, including pediatric blocks

• Regional anesthesia experience preferred

• Comfortable practicing independently without supervision

Required Qualifications

• Anesthesiologist with ABA eligibility required

• Active Massachusetts medical license

• BLS

• ACLS

• Experience managing adult and healthy pediatric anesthesia cases

• Proficiency with Epic EMR
