Full-Time Anesthesiologist – New Bern, North Carolina

A well-established health system in New Bern, NC, is seeking a board-certified Anesthesiologist to join its collaborative anesthesia team.

Schedule & Call

• Full-time day shifts; first cases typically start at 7:15–7:30 AM

• Waterfall scheduling model

• Coverage across the Main OR and Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)

• Night-float week call and house call with a 15-minute callback requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Administer general and regional anesthesia

• Monitor patients and manage perioperative pain

• Perform regional anesthesia, including epidural and ultrasound-guided techniques

• Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, and the care team

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Anesthesiology with specialty residency training

• Active North Carolina physician license and DEA registration, as applicable

• Regional anesthesia experience, including epidural and ultrasound-guided techniques

• TEE (transesophageal echocardiography) experience or training preferred; training may be arranged

• Ability to maintain good standing with the medical staff
