Job description
Locum tenens anesthesiologist needed for an acute care hospital in Western Massachusetts. This is an ongoing assignment starting January 4, 2027, with a full-time weekday schedule and no call. You will practice independently and be assigned to either the OR or Endoscopy, with a broad procedural mix that includes healthy pediatric cases. The client is looking for consistent, reliable long-term coverage.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver general anesthesia for plastic surgery, orthopedic, urology, and gynecology cases
Care for healthy pediatric patients
Perform a variety of regional blocks, including pediatric blocks (strongly preferred)
Manage a high-volume Endoscopy schedule of 16-20 cases per day when assigned there
Document care accurately in Epic
Qualifications
Active Massachusetts license (required)
Massachusetts DEA registration (required)
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology; ABA certified or ABA eligible
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Working Hours
No call
Minimum commitment of 3 weeks per month
Start date: January 4, 2027
Assignment length: ongoing
