Anesthesiology Physician Position in New York

Opportunity Overview

• Full-time Anesthesiology coverage
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Monday-Friday schedule
• Hospital-based practice
• Regional Anesthesia experience required
• OB experience required
• Must be comfortable independently performing nerve blocks
• Must be comfortable supervising up to 4:1

Schedule & Coverage

• Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
• 5 × 8-hour shifts per week
• Night call: 5:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Weekend call: 24-hour shifts, 7:00 AM-7:00 AM
• Minimum 2 call shifts per week required
• Additional call coverage may be available
• Must be able to arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes while on call
• Must check in and out with the Unit Coordinator when entering or leaving the facility
• Call-back and overtime may apply when called into the hospital

Clinical Details

• General Anesthesiology
• Regional Anesthesia
• Independent nerve block procedures
• OB anesthesia
• Supervision of up to 4:1
• EPIC or facility EMR experience preferred
• Residents and Fellows will not be considered

Requirements

• MD/DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Minimum 2 years of Anesthesiology experience
• Proficient in Regional Anesthesia
• Must independently perform blocks
• OB experience required
• New York medical license in hand required
• AHA or RQI certification required
• Current CV with complete work history required
• No unexplained employment gaps of 30+ days
• Physician statement required for any malpractice history
