Anesthesiologist Locums Needed | Auburn, NY
Coverage Type: Locum Tenens | Start Date: November 2026
WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking a BC/BE Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Auburn, New York. This position offers a combination of scheduled daytime shifts and call coverage in a collaborative anesthesia practice.
Assignment Highlights
- Start Date: November 2026
- Schedule: Shift + call
- Daytime Shifts: 8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Weekday Call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend Call: 24-hour call
- Call Commitment: Must be willing to cover 2 calls per week
- Supervision Model: 4:1 MDA
- Case Mix: Primarily bread-and-butter cases
- OB: Cases possible; prior OB experience required
- Regional Anesthesia: Proficiency required; must be comfortable performing blocks
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- BC/BE Anesthesiologist
- Board-eligible candidates must provide proof that boards have been taken or are pending
- Active New York medical license required
- Anesthesia experience required
- Proficient in regional anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks
- OB experience required due to potential OB cases
- Comfortable supervising CRNAs in a 4:1 model
- Must be willing to provide 2 calls per week
