Description
Noor Locums is seeking a Board Certified or truly Board Eligible Anesthesiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Eureka, California.
This is a long-term coverage opportunity beginning January 1, 2027, with approximately 1–2 weeks of coverage needed per month.
The practice is currently offering a pilot program where physicians who can consistently commit to 5–7 or more shifts per month may be eligible for an increased rate of up to $470/hour, based on scheduling and coverage needs.
Night and weekend availability is important. Providers initially work alongside the existing anesthesia team on day shifts and may transition into night coverage once comfortable with the practice and workflow.
Job Responsibilities
Provide scheduled clinical coverage and call.
Participate in weekday, weeknight, and weekend coverage.
Provide anesthesia services in collaboration with the surgical and clinical teams.
Respond to call-back requirements when physically called in.
Complete required clinical documentation and EMR duties.
Participate in the shared coverage schedule.
Qualifications
Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
Active California medical license required
Active DEA required
Current CV required for credentialing
Must be willing to work nights and weekends
Preferred commitment of 5–7+ shifts per month
Must be comfortable with both scheduled clinical hours and call
Hospital privileges are not required to bid
Temporary privileges are not available
Estimated credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days
Working Hours
Approximately 1–2 weeks per month
Minimum preferred commitment: 5–7 shifts/month
Guaranteed scheduled clinical hours: 8 hours/day
Overtime applies after 12 hours/day
Weekday shifts may vary from 8–12 hours
Night/weekend call required
Example Shift Structure:
OB Shift: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
7 AM–3 PM: In-house clinical coverage
3 PM–7 PM: Call
Physical call-back during call period is billed as call-back
Evening Shift: 3:00 PM–7:00 AM
3 PM–11 PM: In-house clinical coverage
11 PM–7 AM: Call
Physical call-back during call period is billed as call-back
