A critical access hospital in Ketchikan, AK needs an anesthesiologist, 13-week contract starting 10/26/2026. $371.60/hour, $483.08/hr OT, $557.40/hr holiday, $3,291.75/24hr call, $695.03/shift night call, $434.33/hr callback. All call shifts include 4 hours gratis.

Job Responsibilities

OR coverage Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm, plus assigned after-hours call on weekdays and weekends. General OR cases, OB department support, ED support, occasional A-line and central line placement. Working solo, independent practice. Variable patient load, 5-15 contacts/day, all ages. No rounding or admissions responsibilities. Chart in Epic.

Qualifications

Board certified in Anesthesiology. Active Alaska license highly preferred, client is also open to IMLC or licensing candidates. BLS, NRP, PALS required, ATLS desired. Clinical activity (case logs) required within the last 24 months. Epic proficient user. Credentialing: temp privileges available in 120 days, standard privileges take 1.5 years, standard process runs 90 days from application, expedited/fast-track credentialing available in some cases.

Working Hours

5x8s, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm, plus assigned after-hours call on weekdays and weekends. 4 hours gratis on every call shift.
