A critical access hospital in Ketchikan, AK needs an anesthesiologist, 13-week contract starting 10/26/2026. $345/hour, above what's currently advertised elsewhere for this same opening. All call shifts include 4 hours gratis.

Job Responsibilities

OR coverage Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm, plus assigned after-hours call on weekdays and weekends. General OR cases, OB department support, ED support, occasional A-line and central line placement. Working solo, independent practice. Variable patient load, 5-15 contacts/day, all ages. No rounding or admissions responsibilities. Chart in Epic.

Qualifications

Board certified in Anesthesiology. Active Alaska license required in hand at time of presentation, cannot wait on licensure. BLS, NRP, PALS required, ATLS desired. Clinical activity (case logs) required within the last 24 months. Epic proficient user. Credentialing: temp privileges available in 120 days, standard privileges take 1.5 years, standard process runs 90 days from application, expedited/fast-track credentialing available in some cases.

Working Hours

5x8s, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm, plus assigned after-hours call on weekdays and weekends. 4 hours gratis on every call shift.
