A surgical facility in the Hanover, PA area needs a locum anesthesiologist for part-time recurring coverage, 2-3 weeks per month, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm with a 30-minute lunch, no call. $375/hour. This is genuinely part-time, not a full-time role, a good fit alongside an existing practice or another assignment for extra income without a full-time commitment.

Job Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia coverage across a broad outpatient surgical case mix, no cardiac or OB. Heavy volume of orthopedic cases requiring regional blocks. All ages, typically 1 and older, with occasional infants for ENT tube and tonsil procedures. Chart in Epic, work alongside CRNAs in a mixed medical direction/own-cases model.

Qualifications

Board certified in Anesthesiology required (board eligible not accepted). Active PA license or IMLC Letter of Qualification required. ACLS, BLS, PALS, and DEA required. 2+ years of experience preferred. Credentialing runs approximately 60 days.

Working Hours

2-3 weeks per month, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm with a 30-minute lunch. No call.

Skills

Regional anesthesia and nerve blocks (heavy ortho volume), medical direction of CRNAs, outpatient ambulatory surgery center anesthesia, pediatric ENT cases.
