### Locums | Anesthesiology | Belfast, ME (ME license, IMLC, or licensing candidates considered) ### Why This Role

  • Independent practice with no CRNA supervision
  • Full-time coverage preferred; part-time availability considered
  • Broad case mix in a critical-access hospital
  • Daytime clinical schedule with flexible call rotation
  • Epic EMR and supportive OR staff ###
Assignment Details Start date: As soon as credentialed Duration: Ongoing; no specific end date provided Credentialing: Approximately 60–90 days Regular schedule: 7am–3:30pm Weeknight call: Approximately every third night; flexible Weekend call: One 24-hour weekend per month Exact weeknight call hours require confirmation Setting: Critical-access hospital Average volume: Approximately 14–16 cases per day, including endoscopy Anesthesia sites: Three per day, including OR and endoscopy rooms Patient population: Ages 3 through 100+ Physicians perform their own cases No CRNA supervision Call response time: 30 minutes EMR: Epic Travel expenses supported within facility policy ### Requirements Board-certified Anesthesiologist Active Maine license or active IMLC Letter of Qualification highly preferred Candidates willing to obtain a Maine license may be considered Current Epic experience Current COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations Two supervisor references and one peer reference from the past 12 months Must disclose overall and locums experience Must complete the facility’s professional-history and credentialing questionnaire Must already be credentialed with the presenting agency ### Clinical Details Adult general surgery Minor nerve blocks and plexus anesthesia Epidural, spinal, and regional anesthesia Obstetrical anesthesia Acute pain-management procedures Arterial-line placement Evaluation and management of acute volume and blood-pressure issues Active OB program averaging approximately 4–6 deliveries per month Anesthesiologists may leave after initiating an epidural but must remain available for callback
