Practice Setting and Clinical Scope

This is a hospital-based role at a respected regional medical center. You will be part of a mission-driven care team, working within a Level I Trauma environment. Your clinical scope will cover a wide range of adult cardiac and thoracic surgeries, allowing you to utilize your full skill set. The patient population is primarily adults, and the average case volume is approximately one case per weekend, ensuring you remain engaged and challenged.

Schedule and Assignment Details

The assignment offers a minimum of two weeks per month, with a schedule that includes weekday clinic hours and night calls, along with weekend call coverage from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m. This structure allows you to immerse yourself in the role while maintaining work-life balance. The need is urgent, with the start date as soon as possible, providing you with an immediate opportunity to step into a significant position. Credentialing is expected to take approximately 90-120 days.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Active Michigan medical license required; must be obtained through the full application process, not the IMLC.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Clean malpractice and license history.
