Position Overview
A well-established outpatient surgery center in Pennsylvania is seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist to provide full-time coverage. This position offers a predictable weekday schedule with no call responsibilities and a collaborative environment working alongside experienced CRNAs.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with medical direction as well as personally performing anesthesia cases and must have strong regional anesthesia skills, particularly orthopedic blocks.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- 30-minute lunch break
- No nights
- No weekends
- No call
Practice Details
- Full-time coverage needed
- Ambulatory Surgery Center setting
- Mix of medical direction and own cases
- Support from experienced CRNAs
- EMR: Epic
- Patient population includes all ages
- Primarily ages 1+
- Occasional cases involving patients under 1 year old for ENT procedures such as tubes and tonsillectomies
Case Mix
Outpatient surgical cases across multiple specialties, including:
- Orthopedics (high volume)
- ENT
- General Surgery
- Additional ambulatory specialties
No Cardiac Cases
No Obstetrics
Required Skills
- Strong orthopedic anesthesia experience
- Proficiency in regional anesthesia/block techniques
- Comfortable supervising CRNAs and performing own cases
- Experience in a high-volume outpatient surgical setting preferred
Requirements
- Board Certified in Anesthesiology (Board Eligible candidates will not be considered)
- Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC Letter of Qualification
- DEA registration required
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
Credentialing
- Approximately 60-day credentialing timeframe
