The role is primarily clinical, with opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and fellows in the operating room. Faculty may also participate in research and other academic activities based on individual interests.

Pediatric anesthesiology faculty provide perioperative care for infants, children, and adolescents across a broad range of surgical specialties at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital OU Health. The practice includes routine and highly complex cases and offers exposure to a diverse pediatric patient population within Oklahoma’s comprehensive academic health system.
Oklahoma Children’s Hospital is supported by the resources of a Level I Trauma Center, providing faculty with opportunities to care for high-acuity and medically complex patients while collaborating closely with pediatric surgeons, intensivists, emergency medicine physicians, CRNAs, residents, fellows, and other pediatric subspecialists.
The clinical environment is team-oriented and academically focused, with opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and fellows in the operating room and participate in quality improvement, research, and other scholarly activities based on individual interests.

Opportunity Highlights
- Additional compensation available for call beyond established requirements
- Annual Quality Metric Performance incentive opportunity of up to 5% of base salary
- 220 annual shift requirement, providing approximately eight weeks away from scheduled clinical shifts
- 5 CME days annually and a $5,500 CME allowance
- $15,000 relocation assistance
