Job description A suburban hospital in the Kansas City, MO area needs an Anesthesiologist for ongoing beeper call coverage starting November 1, 2026, 3-month assignment, ongoing. Pay is $3,500/day for weeknight coverage (Monday-Thursday, 5pm-7am) and $1,800/shift for weekend call (Friday 5pm through Monday 7am). This is genuinely light-duty call: in-house CRNAs handle epidurals independently, MD call is only activated for c-sections or actual OR cases. No cardiac, neuro, or trauma cases. Case mix is mostly general and OB. Travel and lodging covered. All orientation hours are billable, no unpaid ramp-up period.

Job Responsibilities

Provide beeper call coverage for c-sections and OR cases as needed. Support in-house CRNAs when additional help is required. No routine epidural coverage responsibility.

Qualifications

Board Certified in Anesthesiology, required. Active Missouri license required, IMLC may be considered if already in process, but active MO licensure is highly preferred since credentialing cannot stall waiting on it. DEA required. BLS, ACLS required. Minimum 1+ years of experience. Physicians only, no APPs for this role.

Working Hours

Monday-Thursday, 5pm-7am beeper call. Weekend call Friday 5pm through Monday 7am.

Skills

Comfortable with a light general and OB case mix, no cardiac, neuro, or trauma. Comfortable supporting CRNAs on an as-needed basis rather than primary coverage. EPIC EMR.
