Job description A hospital in the Woonsocket, RI area has an emergency 7-day need for a Board Certified Anesthesiologist, Monday through Sunday. Pay is $360/hr. This is an urgent, one-provider need driven by an emergency staffing gap. Secondary call every weeknight (3pm-7am) and secondary weekend call 7am Saturday through 7am Monday. Case mix includes general, endoscopy, OB (approximately 450 deliveries/year), orthopedics (some spine), urology, gynecology, podiatry, and cardiac (approximately 380/year, cath lab and TEE). Proficiency in spinals, blocks, and epidurals is required. 4 ORs, 4 providers on during the day. EMR is Epic.

Job Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia coverage across a broad case mix including general surgery, endoscopy, OB, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, podiatry, and cardiac procedures. Must be proficient in spinals, blocks, and epidurals. Provide secondary call coverage every weeknight and for the full weekend period.

Qualifications

Board Certified in Anesthesiology, required, board eligible not accepted. Active Rhode Island license required, no willingness to wait on licensing. Clean background required. BLS, PALS, ACLS required.

Working Hours

7-day assignment, Monday through Sunday. Secondary call every weeknight (3pm-7am) and weekend secondary call 7am Saturday through 7am Monday.

Skills

Comfortable with a broad general anesthesia case mix including meaningful OB volume and cardiac cases (cath lab and TEE). Strong regional anesthesia skills, spinals, blocks, and epidurals specifically required. Epic EMR experience preferred.
