Job description

Job description A hospital in the Cottonwood, AZ area needs anesthesia coverage for a short holiday block, December 28-31, days with scheduled night call on the 28th and 31st. Pay is $350/hr base, $2,000 per 24-hour call, $750 per night call shift, and $300/hr callback. CRNA support is available on every case, this provider is never solo. Case mix includes 3,000 OR cases and 3,000 endoscopy cases annually, plus approximately 500 OB deliveries per year, with common procedures spanning geriatric fractures, urology, general surgery (excluding bariatrics), advanced breast cancer surgery, total joints, and all endoscopy under propofol infusion.

Job Responsibilities

Provide daytime OR and endoscopy anesthesia coverage, plus scheduled night call and 24-hour call shifts. Cover OB anesthesia, general OR cases, and endoscopy procedures during nights and weekends as needed. Work alongside CRNAs and nursing staff, with CRNA backup always available on every case.

Qualifications

Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology. Active Arizona license or IMLC Letter of Qualification required for presentation. DEA required. BLS and ACLS required. Minimum 1 year of experience. Current OB anesthesia experience required, this is a hard requirement given the OB coverage need built into the assignment.

Working Hours

6:45am-3:00pm, December 28-31. Scheduled night call 3:00pm-6:45am on December 28 and December 31.

Skills

Current, active OB anesthesia skills. Energy and ability to cover OB, OR, and endoscopy during nights and weekends. Comfortable in a hospital setting averaging 4-8 patients per day across all ages, with Cerner EMR.
