Job description
We are seeking a full-time Board-Certified Anesthesiologist to join a busy, high-volume Gastroenterology Ambulatory Surgery Center in the Jacksonville, FL area. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who values efficiency, teamwork, clinical excellence, and work-life balance. The role offers a predictable Monday–Friday schedule with no call, no weekends, and no after-hours responsibilities. The Anesthesiologist will work alongside experienced CRNAs in a collaborative care team model within a well-established, patient-focused ASC environment.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise and collaborate with experienced CRNAs in a care team model.
Provide coverage with another anesthesiologist across up to seven operating/procedure rooms.
Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality anesthesia services in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Evaluate patients before procedures and monitor them throughout the perioperative process.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow all facility protocols and regulatory standards.
Partner with physicians, CRNAs, nurses, and clinical staff to support smooth patient flow and excellent outcomes.
Promote a professional, team-oriented, and patient-centered work environment.
Qualifications
Board Certification in Anesthesiology required.
Active medical license required; Florida license preferred or ability to obtain.
Eligible for medical malpractice insurance coverage.
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
Prior experience in an ASC, GI, endoscopy, or high-volume outpatient setting preferred.
Must be comfortable supervising CRNAs in a collaborative care team model.
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment required.
Working Hours
Consistent Monday–Friday schedule.
No call responsibilities.
No weekends.
No evenings or after-hours coverage.

Skills
Experience with GI, endoscopy, or ambulatory procedures preferred.
Ability to supervise, support, and collaborate with CRNAs.
Excellent patient assessment and perioperative management skills.
