WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking an Anesthesiology Physician for locum tenens coverage beginning in July 2026. This opportunity supports multiple surgical facilities throughout Central Pennsylvania and offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with ongoing coverage needs.

This position offers a balanced case mix with CRNA support and a manageable daily patient volume of fewer than 20 patients per day. The physician will provide anesthesia services across multiple facilities within a regional float pool.

Clinical responsibilities include anesthesia coverage for a variety of routine surgical procedures, including urology, gynecology, GI endoscopy, plastic surgery, orthopedics, and occasional dental cases. This assignment does not include cardiac, neurosurgical, or obstetrical anesthesia cases.

In addition to procedural responsibilities, physicians are expected to respond to hospital codes and rapid response events as needed.

Requirements

• BC/BE Anesthesiology
• Active Pennsylvania Medical License required at presentation
• ACLS Certification
• BLS Certification
• Must be willing to travel between multiple Central Pennsylvania facilities

Support & Practice Environment

• CRNA support available
• Average daily patient volume: Less than 20 patients
• EMR: Cerner
• Ongoing coverage opportunity with a stable weekday schedule

Please note: Pennsylvania licensure must be active and in hand at the time of presentation. IMLC candidates cannot be considered for this assignment.
