Job Title: Anesthesiologist
Location: Aurora, CO 80045
Duration: 1+ Year to long term
• Administer anesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures, including cardiac, orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, neurosurgical, ENT, urologic, and ophthalmologic cases.
• Perform anesthesia cases and supervise/direct CRNAs as assigned.
• Provide acute pain management, regional anesthesia, sedation services, and emergency airway support.
• Support procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab, GI suite, radiology, electrophysiology, and ECT services.
• Participate in on-call coverage and respond to anesthesia emergencies as required.
• Complete clinical documentation and provide patient education in accordance with VA policies.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (ABA).
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Active NPI and DEA registration.
• Professional liability/malpractice insurance.
• Relevant anesthesiology experience within the last two (2) years.
• Two positive professional references.
• VHA experience preferred.
• Recent experience within the last two (2) years performing cardiac anesthesia, including CABG and cardiac valve procedures.
• Fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesia or Critical Care preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform anesthesia cases and supervise/direct CRNAs as assigned.

Requirements
• Current unrestricted U.S. medical license.• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (ABA).
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Active NPI and DEA registration.
• Professional liability/malpractice insurance.
• Relevant anesthesiology experience within the last two (2) years.
• Two positive professional references.
• VHA experience preferred.
For Cardiac Anesthesia:
• Current Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) certification.• Recent experience within the last two (2) years performing cardiac anesthesia, including CABG and cardiac valve procedures.
• Fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesia or Critical Care preferred.
