Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: 3-4 days/week, 3-4 weeks/month; 12 weeks duration. Various shift options available including:
- 8, 10, and 24 hour shifts
- Day shifts, in-house call, weeknight and weekend on-call
- Weeknight Call: 3p-7am
- Weekend Call: 7a-7a
- OB c-section/OB epidural: 7am-3p or 3p-7am (Sat/Sun 7a-7a)
- Main OR: M-F 7a-5p (Sat/Sun 7a-5p)
- Out of OR: 7a-5p
- Nerve blocks: Mon-Fri 7a-5p
- Job Setting: 6 Anesthesia Rooms; Epic charting system; MDs doing their own cases
- Types of Cases: OB, General, Cardiac, Ortho, Neuro, Pediatrics
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
- Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
- Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
- Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
- Credentialing: 60 days; Temporary privileges available (30-60 days)
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certification Required
- Certifications: M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine; ECFMG and FLEX; Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia
- Licensure: Currently licensed as a Physician; candidates needing to obtain CA state license accepted
