Job description
Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens opportunity at a leading San Francisco, California healthcare system. Flexible schedule. 2-4 weeks a month.
Position Overview
Contract Length: 26+ Weeks
Coverage Needed: Full-Time Preferred
Minimum Availability: At least 2 weeks per month
Practice Setting:
- Hospital-Based Practice
- Inpatient and Outpatient Surg. Coverage
- EMR: Epic
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide services for both inpatient and outpatient surg. procedures
- Primarily work independently in the operating room
- Occasionally supervise CRNAs
- Manage adult and adolescent patients (13 years and older)
Case Mix:
- General , Orthopedic Surg., Other routine specialties
- No Cardiac, Liver Transplant, or Neurosurgical Cases
Required:
- Board Certified in Anesthesiology (Board Eligible candidates may be considered, particularly fellowship-trained physicians)
- Active California Medical License
- California DEA Registration with Schedule II authorization
- Minimum of 2 years of anesthesiology experience
- Recent experience (within the last 2–3 years) performing a mix of inpatient and outpatient surg. Cases
