Job description
A well-established hospital in Indiana is seeking a locum anesthesiologist for scheduled coverage throughout 2026. This is a high-acuity, hands-on role with a diverse case mix and no CRNA supervision. Providers must be comfortable managing a wide range of procedures independently from day one. This position offers consistent weekday hours with no call requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Perform general anesthesia for adult and pediatric patients (6 months+)
Manage OB, trauma, vascular, thoracic, and cath lab cases
Perform regional anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks
Place central venous and arterial lines
Handle difficult airway management independently
Complete documentation and time entry through the VMS platform
Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of experience
Active Indiana license or IMLC eligibility
ACLS and BLS (AHA) required
Must provide procedure logs and quality data from the past 12 months
Comfortable performing all listed procedures independently (required)
COVID and Flu vaccination required (or approved exemption)
Working Hours
8-hour shifts
No call required
Must be available for full Monday–Friday blocks for requested weeks
Credentialing timeframe: 60–90 days
