Anesthesiology Opportunity – Southern New Hampshire

Board Requirements

• ABA / AOBA

• Board Certified required

• Must be comfortable practicing independently overnight

Program Overview

• Staffing Model: 4 MD / 3 CRNA

• Medically directed model

• 5 anesthetizing rooms

• EMR: Medaxion

• Regional anesthetic blocks & nerve blocks required

Clinical Volume

• ~2,400 annual cases

• ~7 cases per day

Case Mix

• General surgery, ENT, GI/endoscopy, GYN, minor cardiac (pacer/cardioversion), orthopedics, podiatry, urology (no kidney transplants), vascular, regional anesthesia (spinals & blocks), healthy pediatrics (6 months+)

• No open hearts

• No neurosurgery

Schedule & Call

• 24-hour call shifts (7a–7a)

• Weekend call: Friday 7a – Monday 7a

• Post-call day off provided

• Day shifts available: 7a–3p

• Pager call model (weekday & weekend)

• No backup pager

• On-call provider is the in-house MD

• CRNAs do not carry call pager

Coverage Expectations

• One weekend call per month

• Approximately six 24-hour shifts per month

• Possible additional weekday shifts
