A large regional medical center is seeking Locum Anesthesiologists to support a busy and well established anesthesia program. This opportunity offers a diverse surgical case mix, collaborative team environment, and consistent scheduling within a high acuity hospital setting.
This is a major tertiary care facility featuring:
- 582 hospital beds
- 40 ICU beds
- Level I trauma center with pediatric trauma designation
- 39 anesthetizing sites
- Cerner EMR system
Anesthesiologists work in a mixed practice model, providing both medical direction of CRNAs and personally performed anesthesia care depending on the case and clinical setting. Approximately 20% of cases are personally performed by anesthesiologists.

Job Responsibilities
Work within a collaborative anesthesia care team model, providing medical direction to CRNAs while also performing cases when needed.
Conduct pre anesthesia evaluations, develop anesthesia plans, and manage intraoperative and post anesthesia care.
Participate in scheduled shifts and call coverage supporting the operating rooms, trauma service, and obstetric anesthesia needs.
Document care in the EMR and collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and the anesthesia team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
Qualifications
Active state medical license or ability to obtain
Active DEA registration
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Comfortable working in a medically directed anesthesia care team model with CRNAs

5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Weekend shifts:
7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
12 hour call shifts available
