Rates: $415/hr

Position Overview

Schedule

• Preferred: Two consecutive weeks per month

• Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• Mandatory on-call coverage during scheduled weeks

• Provider must remain within 15 minutes of the facility while on call

Setting

• 100% Operating Room and Labor & Delivery coverage

• No outpatient clinic responsibilities

• Facility includes 9 main operating rooms

• Average case volume: 4–5 surgical cases per day

Clinical Scope

The anesthesiologist will serve as the primary provider for routine surgical anesthesia, supporting high-volume orthopedic and general surgery services.

Required Cases

• Bread-and-butter anesthesia for general surgery and orthopedic procedures

• Regional anesthesia blocks for OR cases

• OB call coverage with approximately 700–800 deliveries annually

Preferred Experience

• Obstetrics/Gynecology

• Orthopedics

• Plastic surgery

• Vascular surgery

• Colorectal surgery

• ENT

• Gastrointestinal procedures

• Urology

Not Required

• Cardiothoracic surgery

• Neurosurgery

• Cranial procedures

• High-risk pediatric cases

Pediatrics

• Not required, but experience with healthy pediatric patients is welcomed

Pain Management

• Regional blocks required

• No outpatient pain management

Practice Environment

• Approximately 15 anesthesiologists in the group, including per diem providers

• 2 CRNAs on staff (locum providers rarely supervise)

• Additional surgical support includes:

  • Anesthesia technicians

  • Physician assistants

  • OR nurses

  • Surgical technologists

  • Administrative leadership and management teams

Electronic Medical Record: Epic

Provider Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology

• ACLS certification required

• MMR vaccination documentation required

• Active New York medical license preferred

• Fellowship training not required

Patient Volume

• 4–5 surgical cases per day (average)

• 700–800 deliveries annually

Credentialing

• Temporary privileges available for providers with:

  • Clean malpractice history

  • No employment gaps

  • Complete credentialing documentation
