General Anesthesiologist – Locum Tenens Opportunity - Fontana & Ontario, CA (near LA) - long term potential

A hospital-based practice in Fontana and Ontario, California is seeking a General Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens assignment with a strong possibility of extension. This opportunity offers a consistent daytime schedule with no call responsibilities and a collaborative anesthesia team.

Assignment Details

• Start: ASAP

• Duration: 6-month assignment with option to extend

• Schedule: 4–5 shifts per week

• Shift Length: 10-hour days (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

• Weekend Requirement: At least 1 weekend per month

• Holiday Coverage: Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holiday weeks

• Call: No call

Practice Setting

• Hospital-based anesthesia practice

• Collaborative team environment with multiple anesthesiologists and CRNAs onsite

• Minimal CRNA supervision

Case Mix
General anesthesia cases including:

• General surgery

• Orthopedics

• Gynecology

• Urology

• Occasional minimal neurology cases

Additional Details

• No obstetrics or cardiac cases

• Some healthy pediatric patients (routine cases only)

• Facility employs CRNAs; rare assistance may be required

• Typical case volume: 4–6 cases per shift

• EMR: Epic (HealthConnect)
