Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) – Locums Coverage - Central Pennsylvania

Assignment Overview

Schedule

• Majority of day shifts: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM

• Providers should be willing to cover late shifts:

  • Until 5:30 PM or 7:30 PM

Call Opportunities

• In-house call shifts available (not guaranteed initially)

• Providers must first establish a working relationship through regular shifts before call scheduling

Call Hours

• Weekdays: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

• Weekends: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24 hours)

  • May be split into 12-hour shifts (7a–7p / 7p–7a)

• Comfortable on-site call room available

Practice Environment

• 12 ORs and 15–16 anesthetizing locations

• Team includes:

  • 8 Anesthesiologists

  • 21 CRNAs

• 24/7 Intensivist and Neuro support

• Intensivists run codes

Providers may also have the opportunity to work at Bedford, a smaller surgery center if interested.

Case Mix

Providers must be comfortable with:

• General Surgery

• GI

• Basic Pediatrics

• OB

• GYN

• Orthopedics

• Urology

• Neuro

• Level III Trauma cases

Both supervising and hands-on anesthesia care will be required.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 3 years of residency)

• Minimum 1 year experience

• ACLS, BLS, PALS required

• Highly prefer active Pennsylvania license or IMLC letter in hand, but licensing candidates will be considered

• Must be comfortable with General, OB, and Pediatric cases

Submission Requirement

• NPDB Self-Query must be provided at time of presentation

Presentation Must Include

• Confirmation provider is comfortable with General, OB, and Peds cases

• Confirmation of willingness to work call shifts

• Lodging

• Airfare

• Parking

• Ground transportation
