Facility:
This is a 720-bed hospital with 24 operating rooms that serves as a Level 1 trauma center. The facility offers comprehensive surgical services with strong support staff including anesthesiologists, LPNs, nursing staff, administrative personnel, anesthesia techs, and 3 NPs.
Opportunity:
Physician - Anesthesiology
Job Details:
• Seeking generalist operative anesthesiologists for ongoing locum coverage (minimum 2 weeks per month availability required) • Must commit to providing coverage for some Fridays (mandatory requirement) • 4x10 hour shifts available, Monday through Friday with approximately 50 patient encounters per shift • In-house call coverage for weekend days/nights and weekday nights available • Experience with EPIC EMR system required • Must be able to handle patients 1 year of age and upwards • Board certification required with ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications • Clean malpractice and NPDB history mandatory • Experience in acute care hospitals (not primarily ASCs) required • Comprehensive anesthesia services including trauma, complex orthopedic cases, and pain management • Skilled in central line placement, arterial line placement, and PA catheter placement • Experience with regional anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, and epidural anesthesia preferred • Ability to perform post-op epidurals and post-op extremity blocks required • Experience with x-ray guidance in performance of blocks required • Competency in neurosurgical, obstetrical, thoracic, and complex vascular cases preferred • No cardiac anesthesia required • Pennsylvania license or IMLC required • Credentialing timeframe approximately 90-120 days
