Facility:
This established hospital serves the Northwoods region with quality healthcare services. The facility is a Level 3 trauma center that provides comprehensive surgical and anesthesia services to the community with well-equipped operating rooms and supportive clinical teams.
Opportunity:
Physician - Anesthesiology
Job Details:
• Monday through Friday Operating Room hours: 7a-3p with CRNA supervision responsibilities
• On-Call/pager hours: 3p-7a with 20-minute response time (in-house presence not required during on-call)
• Respond to Labor and Delivery needs including C-Sections and epidural requirements
• Provide anesthesia care for IR patients
• Support ICU with cardioversions and TEE procedures
• Administer sedation for Radiology and CT scans
• Perform ultrasound-guided IV starts on floors and in ED
• Provide ER Trauma coverage including sedation, intubation, and line placement
• Conduct regional blocks in holding area/PACU
• Participate in Pre-Op clinic (5-10% of patients meet complex criteria)
• Respond to Emergency Medical activations as part of the Response Team
• Average 15 patient encounters per shift
• Must be board certified with ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• ACT 10 is acceptable
• Required skills include general anesthesia (adult and pediatric), spinal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, regional anesthesia, obstetrical cases, and ventilation management
• Required procedures include central line, arterial line, and PA catheter placements
• Preferred skills include trauma anesthesia, complex orthopedic cases, pain management techniques, post-op epidural, post-op extremity blocks, and use of x-ray guidance
• Experience with complete ortho, OB, pediatric, and regional cases expected
• 90-day estimated credentialing timeframe
