A large health system in Virginia is seeking an experienced Anesthesiologist to provide locum tenens coverage for a busy hospital-based practice. This assignment offers a mix of case types, flexible shift options, and required pager call.
Schedule & Coverage
• 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts available based on departmental needs
• Weeknight and/or weekend pager call required
Scope of Practice
The provider will support a full spectrum of anesthesia services, including:
• General anesthesia for adults (required); pediatric anesthesia preferred
• Spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia techniques
• Obstetrical anesthesia
• Spine/neurosurgical cases
• Complex vascular (excluding open heart)
• Complex orthopedic procedures
• Ventilation management
• Central and arterial line placement
• Anesthesia support for Cardiac Cath Lab and EP Lab
Not Required
• Open heart anesthesia
• Thoracic cases
• Pain management procedures
• PA catheter placement
