The Hudson Valley HCS VA anesthesiologist is responsible for direct provision of perioperative anesthetic care. The physician should be proficient and privileged in all aspects of anesthesiology. The anesthesiologist will provide perioperative care, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic, administration and monitoring of post-anesthesia care in compliance with national accreditation standards. The anesthesiologist will provide expert consultation and guidance to CRNA, nursing, and other medical staff in the administration of anesthesia. Qualifications
All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
