Overview:
A 155-bed community-based teaching hospital in Southwest Georgia is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist to join a well-established and collaborative anesthesia team. The practice includes board-certified anesthesiologists, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), and Anesthesiology Assistants (AAs), all committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, starting at 6:30 AM; typically ends between 3–4 PM (40-hour work week)

  • Call Schedule: 1-in-8 home call rotation Monday–Friday; no weekend call required

  • Case Mix: Bread-and-butter general anesthesiology (nerve blocks, A-lines, epidurals, etc.); no cardiac or neurosurgery cases

  • Volume: 40–50 cases per day across 10 operative sites (including 2 endoscopy suites and 2 OB rooms)

  • Technology: Modern anesthesia equipment including Mindray machines, new ultrasounds, Glidescope for emergency airways, and Belmont rapid infusers

Requirements

  • Completion (or upcoming completion) of an Anesthesiology Residency

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology

    • (If eligible, must obtain certification within 5 years)

  • Georgia Medical License or participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
