Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Anesthesiologist to join our surgical team in Clinton, Missouri. This position offers a diverse case mix, balanced schedule, and a supportive environment with optional pain procedures.

Job Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia care for a variety of surgical specialties, including general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, ENT, and GI.
Deliver safe and effective anesthesia services in a collaborative environment with independent CRNAs.
Perform pre-operative evaluations, develop anesthesia care plans, and manage patients during intra-operative and post-operative phases.
Ensure accurate documentation in the EMR and maintain compliance with all quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Participate in departmental meetings, quality initiatives, and contribute to the ongoing development of anesthesia and pain management services.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
Eligible for Missouri medical license and DEA registration.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a community hospital setting.

Skills

Proficiency in administering general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care.
Competence in airway management and use of advanced equipment (GlideScopes, McGraths, ultrasound-guided procedures).
Ability to manage diverse surgical cases including OB, orthopedics, ENT, GI, and general surgery.
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making in high-pressure situations.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with surgeons, CRNAs, nursing staff, and patients.
Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
Adaptability to work in a collaborative, physician-led, rural healthcare environment.
