Ongoing locum anesthesiology coverage need in Northeastern South Dakota. Population of 30-40k, family-oriented city, and no state income tax.
• Well respected and established Anesthesia staffing group consists of Care Team Model of 4 MDA’s and 10 CRNA’s
• This practice is part of a progressive growing medical community with 6 OR’s and 1 Endo suite
• Anesthesiologists are performing the blocks and the inductions and emergents. Supervise about 80% of the time.
• Averages about 5-cases per day/ light call weeknight call- expect 1 night of call
• Anesthesia unit is paper charting Types of cases: A typical day consists of 6 ORs running and a scope room. Average cut time is 0730. Labor epidurals. 15 minute call response time. Call backs are mainly OB. Some appys, and ortho. Thoracic. rare vascular & gyuro. some peds. some trauma. rare critical care, outpatient-yes, heavy regional and a lot of ortho. ligh cardiac no open hearts
