A well-established, hospital-employed anesthesia group in Coos Bay, Oregon is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist for a part-time permanent position. Located at the largest hospital on Oregon’s southern coast, this opportunity offers a balanced schedule, a high-acuity caseload, and a collaborative, independent practice model.

Job Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures (excluding neuro and cardiac)
Participate in pre-op, intra-op, and post-op patient care
Perform regional anesthesia and all types of blocks
Deliver anesthesia services in ORs, Endoscopy, Cath Lab, and nearby ASC
Cover low-volume OB (epidurals, C-sections)
Share in a paid call schedule, equitably distributed
Support the Anesthesia Department with clinical leadership and collaboration
Work alongside a team of independently practicing CRNAs and anesthesiologists

Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology – Required
Oregon medical license or willingness to obtain – Required
BLS certification or willingness to obtain – Required
Ties to Oregon (family, prior residence, etc.) – Required
Clean malpractice history/background – Required
NPDB self-query report – Required
Willingness to reside within the immediate local area (relocation may be required)

Working Hours

Part-Time: 40 hours per pay period (1 week on, 1 week off)
Post-call day off
Shared call responsibility (paid)
7 operating rooms, plus endoscopy and cath lab
Case types: General, ortho, OB, GI, vascular, urology, ENT, plastics; healthy peds only
No neurosurgery or open-heart cases

Skills

Skilled in a wide range of regional and general anesthesia techniques
Comfortable working independently or collaboratively
Strong interpersonal communication and clinical decision-making

Adaptable to both inpatient and ambulatory surgical environments
