A well-established Anesthesiology group in North Central Iowa is seeking a Fellowship-trained Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologist for a full-time hospital-based position. The group includes seven physicians and twelve CRNAs providing anesthesia services to a progressive hospital and ASC.
Job Responsibilities
Cardiac
Thoracic
Vascular
Neuro
Ortho
Pediatric
OB
General Surgery
Supervise and collaborate with CRNAs
Qualifications
Cardiac Fellowship and/or TEE Certification – must be able to perform, interpret, and bill TEE (not just probe placement)
Iowa Medical License or IMLC – or willingness to obtain
Iowa CSR & DEA License – required
BLS, ACLS, PALS – required
COVID-19 Vaccination – required
Working Hours
Cardiac call Monday–Thursday
General weekend call: 6 weekends/year
One holiday call per year
8 ORs in use daily
5–7 general cases/day; 1 cardiac surgery/day (not daily)
Skills
Comfort in managing adolescent through geriatric patient populations
Ability to supervise CRNAs in a hospital and ASC setting
Strong communication and team collaboration
