Anesthesiologist Opening in State College, PA Area is surrounded by state parks Located 140 miles from Pittsburgh; 170 miles from Baltimore, MD Position Details

  • Seeking a BC/BE Anesthesiologist
  • Join an employed group consisting of 11 physicians and 20+ CRNA‚Äôs that provide coverage at the Medical Center, a 260-bed acute care facility in State College, PA.
  • 1 Hospital: Mount Nittany Medical Center
  • 12 total OR‚Äôs and an off-site Surgery Center with 4 OR‚Äôs.
  • 1 OB Suite
  • 4 Endo/GI Suites
  • 11 FT Anesthesiologists and 20+ CRNA‚Äôs
  • Call is approx. every 6 -7 days (Mix of first call and back up call)
  • CRNA Medical Direction Model
  • Major Service lines include: General, GU, OB, Spine, ENT, GYN, Plastic, Ortho, Vascular
  • Low Peds volume
  • No Open-Heart Surgery and No Heads
  • EMR: Meditech
Compensation & Benefits: W2: $510-540k + benefits and a $20k annual quality bonus PTO: 9 weeks CME: 1 week CME allowance $3,500 annually Sign-on bonus: $40k over 3 years Qualification: Medical Doctor Degree (University-affiliated medical school preferred). Resident training in university-affiliated hospital preferred. Current Pennsylvania medical license. Current DEA registration. ABA Board-certification and pain fellowship required Past medical licensure has never been challenged, suspended or revoked. Hospital privileges have never been revoked at any hospital. No past convictions for fraud, narcotics, or any felony offense. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires normal visual acuity and hearing. Requires exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids. Requires working under stress in emergency situations or during irregular hours.
