We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens opportunity in South Florida. This position is open to out-of-state candidates with an active Florida license and Pediatric Fellowship training. Candidates will start with easier pediatric cases and may progress to more complex cases, including pediatric cardiac and cath/EP procedures, if comfortable.

The role offers a collaborative care team environment and a structured daytime schedule with the potential for call responsibilities once fully onboarded.

Hospital is a leading freestanding children’s hospital located in Hollywood. The hospital is a major pediatric care center in Broward County with high surgical volume and a strong cardiac program.

• Cross-credentialed across multiple sites
  
  
• EMR: Epic
  
  
• Care team model: 1 MD : 2 CRNAs
  
  
• 50/50 medically directed supervision
  
  
• Majority case types: General Surgery, Orthopedics, GU, ENT, Dental
  
  
• Average credentialing time: 90–120 days

Job Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for pediatric patients, starting with healthier cases and increasing complexity as appropriate
  
  
• Manage cases including IV placement and regional anesthesia (cardiac/cath/EP if comfortable)
  
  
• Work in a care team model with both supervised and independent cases
  
  
• Deliver care in both medically directed and solo settings
  
  
• Transition to call responsibilities after orientation and site approval

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Anesthesiology required
  
  
• Active Florida medical license required
  
  
• Pediatric Fellowship training required
  
  
• Minimum 2 years post-training experience required
  
  
• Must not have worked at this site or affiliated sites within the past 24 months
  
  
• Must not have worked at this site or any associated site within 75 miles
  
  
• Out-of-state candidates only

Working Hours

• Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  
  
• Optional weekend shifts: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  
  
• No call initially
  
  
• Call expected once site is comfortable with provider
