We are seeking experienced Anesthesiologists to join a Level IV NICU unit(primarily) for a long term hospital engagement. This is a stable, multi-year opportunity, not a short term assignment, with emergency credentialing available.


Job Details:

Unit: Level IV NICU primarily and OR

Credentialing: Emergency credentialing available

Duration: Long-term (1 to 2 years; until hospital transitions to W2 model)

Schedule:

12 hour shifts

Days: 7a–7p

Nights: 7p–7a

Weekends: 7a–7p / 7p–7a

Commitment Expectations:

Preferred: 4–5 days per week

Minimum: 24 hours (2 shifts) per week + 1 overnight call, ideally. Ability to customize.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide anesthesia services within a Level IV NICU environment and OR
  • Manage acute pediatric cases including ENT, urology, and other surgical specialties, if needed
  • Supervise CRNAs and NPs as required
  • Cover adult patients during shifts if no pediatric cases are scheduled

Requirements:

  • Must be actively licensed as an Anesthesiologist in the state of New Jersey
  • Must be Board Certified in Anesthesiology and/or Pediatric Anesthesiology
  • Active DEA
  • Minimum 1 year pediatric experience (age 0–2 required)
  • Comfortable managing high-acuity neonatal and pediatric cases
  • Ability to supervise CRNAs and advanced practice providers

Documentation / EMR:

  • Anesthesia records are paper-based (billing slip completed and scanned)
  • Paragon is the EMR used for pre-op and post-op review
  • Epic implementation expected next year
