About the Practice

We are seeking a full-time Interventional Pain Management Physician to join our well-established, physician-led private practice in Fort Myers, Florida.

Founded in 2001, our practice was the first in the region dedicated exclusively to pain management and continues to lead with comprehensive, patient-centered interventional care.

Our 15,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility includes:

  • Medical clinic located on the second floor
  • On-site AAAHC-accredited Ambulatory Surgery Center with two operating rooms
  • Full spectrum of interventional and minimally invasive pain treatments
  • Highly trained and collaborative clinical staff
  • Established marketing program to support physician onboarding and referral growth

Position Highlights

  • Employed position with annual contract
  • Competitive base salary plus productivity bonus
  • Work alongside an experienced MD
  • Exposure to advanced and innovative interventional techniques
  • No hospital work
  • Phone call only (no in-person call coverage)
  • Monday–Friday schedule

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday
  • Typical hours: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (seasonal variations possible)
  • Participation in occasional lunch and dinner marketing events

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of new patients from an interventional pain perspective
  • Establish accurate diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Manage patients across the continuum of care, including:
  • Interventional procedures
  • Physical therapy coordination
  • Medication management
  • Supervise ARNPs managing established medication patients
  • Focus on restoring function and improving patient quality of life

Required Procedural Experience

  • Epidural steroid injections (all spinal levels)
  • Transforaminal epidural steroid injections (TFESI) / nerve root injections
  • Medial branch blocks
  • Radiofrequency ablation (all spinal levels)
  • Sacroiliac joint injections
  • Spinal cord stimulation
  • Ultrasound-guided injections
  • MILD procedure
  • Intracept procedure
  • Peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS)
  • Discography
  • SI joint fusion
  • Opioid prescribing (<90 MME; primarily managed by ARNPs; training available if needed)

Qualifications

  • Completion of an Interventional Spine Fellowship
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified (ASA, ABPMR, or ABIPP)
  • Active Florida Medical License
  • Active DEA License
