Advance your career with an exceptional locum tenens Cardiac Anesthesiologist opportunity in Miami, Florida. This premium assignment is designed for board-certified anesthesiologists seeking a high-level cardiac practice with diverse surgical exposure, clinical autonomy, and a structured travel schedule.
Support a specialized cardiac anesthesia program managing complex cardiovascular procedures while collaborating with experienced anesthesia professionals and surgical teams. This travel opportunity offers meaningful clinical variety, schedule flexibility, and the professional growth that comes with locum tenens practice.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform and manage anesthesia care for CABG, valve procedures, TAVR, MitraClip, LAA ligation, and EP cases.
• Provide approximately 70% own cases and 30% supervision within the cardiac anesthesia model.
• Support additional surgical specialties including Orthopedics, General Surgery, OB/GYN, Urology, GI, ENT, and Spine.
• Participate in weekday and weekend call coverage as part of the cardiac anesthesia team.
Qualifications
• Cardiac Anesthesiology experience required.
• Active Florida medical license required or ability to obtain.
• DEA required.
• ACLS and BLS required.
• Must provide recent cardiac case logs as required for credentialing.
Working Hours
• Structured schedule: 2 weeks on / 1 week off.
• Weekday shifts:
o 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
o 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
o 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekend coverage required.
• Call responsibilities required.
• Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days.
